Forever His

Alright…This is my terribly wonderful experience in Concrete.

We’re up in the mountains (high elevation, minus), it’s hot out (I don’t deal well with heat, extra minus), and we’re doing pretty decently hard work. It wasn’t terrible work, don’t get me wrong guys. And it was totally worth it. But with my body being stupidly sensitive to all of those things, I thought I was going to pass out. So lunch break came, we walked back to the church and I ate a sandwich or two and rested.

Connor (I believe?) asked if I wanted to trade him for the day. I decided to try to stick it out.

I didn’t feel much better all day, but God gave me the grace to work through it all and glorify him through the pain! It was one of those amazing moments when God really showed that in my weakness, He is my strength — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Because you better believe that all of my being was screaming out!

Isaiah 40:28-31
²⁸ Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
   the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary; 
   his understanding is unsearchable.
²⁹ He gives power to the faint,
   and to him who has no might he increases strength.
³⁰ Even youths shall faint and be weary,
   and young men shall fall exhausted;
³¹ but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength;
   they shall mount up with wings like eagles;

   they shall walk and not faint.
