Forever His
(I already had a post titled “A thought.”)
This morning in my Intro to Fine Arts class, the insane woman that Greenville though it would be a good idea to hire showed us a picture of an Ancient Egyptian bust. It was a bust of the Egyptian queen, Nefertiti (say that out loud. Its fun.). As she described this bust (among her various rabbit trails and general craziness) of Nefertiti, she informed us that Nefertiti has been regarded as the standard of beauty for some amount of time. I don’t remember for sure because I was trying to tune her out.
Anyways, I reject that notion, and I present you with the actual standard of beauty.
I’m sure now you’re saying “Trent, that is your girlfriend. You are biased.” You’re correct. I am 100% biased on this subject. Now you’re saying, “Besides my girlfriend is the actual standard of beauty.” I respect your opinion, despite it being wrong.
You see, gentlemen, we are in a generation where many men have a significant other, but will have lengthy conversations about who the most attractive woman they know is, often with the wrong answer. Because any answer that isn’t the aforementioned significant other is incorrect. Men, love your female companion for who she is. She should be your beauty standard, not Nefertiti, a long dead Egyptian. Not some actress or movie star. Not some girl you see walking down the street. Her.
I’m done now. Back to homework.
